August 12, 2021: Lacombe, AB – Two more promising young agriculture leaders will soon receive financial assistance to support their educational goals!
Alberta Seed Processors is now taking applications for its 2021/22 Seed Smart scholarships, designed to recognize the academic accomplishments of students currently enrolled in agriculture-related studies.
These scholarships are part of ASP’s overall mandate to strengthen the long-term sustainability of Alberta’s agriculture industry, says General Manager Monica Klaas.
“Our main goal at ASP is to create opportunities for seed and grain processing in our province and these opportunities are powered by people,” she says.” Nurturing the next generation of agriculture leaders in our province is one of the most important things that we can do to secure the future of our industry.”
Each year, ASP offers two scholarships, valued at $1,000 each, granted based on a combination of accomplishments which include; but are not restricted to, academic and non-academic, volunteerism, and personal achievements. Applicants must be enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institute, with preference given to those studying in Alberta.
The deadline for applications is October 15, 2021. For more information, and to apply, visit: https://seedprocessors.ca/site/seed-smart-scholarship-apply-today/
