Full-Time Seed Plant Manager – Morinville Municipal Seed Cleaning Co-op Ltd.
The Morinville Municipal Seed Cleaning Co-op Ltd., located in Morinville, Alberta is currently seeking a self-motivated, confident individual to fill the position of Seed Plant Manager. This position requires candidates with both physical dexterity as well as management capabilities. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, highly organized problem solver that has excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and has a basic working knowledge of simple software programs that could include Microsoft office products, and Sage accounting software. The ability to effectively manage one or more employees is also a requirement. As this position is physically demanding, the ideal candidate must be in good physical condition, mechanically inclined, and possess a minimum of a valid class 5 driver’s license. In addition to knowledge of grains and pulse crops, the desire for constant professional development would be an asset.
Salary will be based on qualifications & experience. Compensation will include a pension plan and the potential for profit sharing incentive program. Only applicants that meet skills screening shall be contacted.

SEED PLANT OPERATOR – FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME POSITION – BARRHEAD DISTRICT SEED CLEANING CO-OP LTD.
The Seed Pant Operator reports directly to the Plant Manager to assist in conducting an efficient, productive, and safe seed and grain cleaning operation at the facility. Direction, guidance, and training are provided by the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Keep accurate records of daily seed processes.
- Clean, separate, treat, and load grain, seed, or other commodities handled by the establishment.
- Operate and maintain equipment within the facility.
- Provide high quality customer service to clients.
- Assist Board of Directors and Plant Manager by providing statistical information when requested.
Requirements
Knowledge and Experience:
- Proficient in both verbal and written English language.
- Good time management, problem solving, and communication skills a necessity.
- Experience in machine operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of record keeping and electronic data tracking systems an asset.
- Must have or be willing to attain operator, grader, and pesticide applicators licenses.
Personal Suitability:
- Motivated self-starter with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Willing to work shifts and the ability to work in a variety of workplace settings.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical dexterity and mobility to operate equipment.
- No acrophobia (fear of heights).
- No reactions or allergies to dust, grain, or chemicals
Training:
- First Aid Certificate
- WHIMS
- TDG
- Or willingness to obtain these certificates.
Remuneration:
- Commensurate with experience.
